Illuminated robin Christmas cards

A stylish modern card with a delicate Christmas flower makes this a special keepsake lantern card.

The robin has a lovely glow if you use a flickering battery powered tea light.

Each card like this takes 2-3 days to make as all the flowers have to be cut and hand formed, ribbon threaded and parchment preparation. These are not ‘kit cards’ so you won’t find one anywhere else in the world.

You can purchase this unusual charity Christmas card from my Etsy shop or request a bespoke card to be made for you.

Two new glowing lantern Christmas cards

There are 4 steps to making this card which takes me a couple of days to complete. I love deep blue and metallic copper which give this one a Moroccan feel to it. The Christmas card is 6×6 inches so the illumination area is very large.

I use a flickering soft orange battery tea-light to illuminate the cards.

Lantern / glowing Christmas cards

Lantern cards are made by adding a middle layer of parchment to the card, forming an opaque window.

Each takes a few days to make and can involve glazing the window such as the nativity stained glass card.

Some cards have a middle layer of transparency for a translucent effect.

A battery powered tea light will give a gentle flickering glow to the card.

You can purchase my Lantern cards on Etsy.
